What sets us apart
The case for choosing
a careful studio.
At Verge Atelier, every piece is reviewed before work begins, every scope is agreed with the owner, and every job leaves with written notes. These are not extras — they are how we work.

Six reasons owners return
Each of these reflects a deliberate choice in how Verge Atelier operates — not a marketing position.
Experienced hands
Our lead watchmaker has worked with mechanical movements for over fourteen years, covering Japanese, Swiss and mixed movements across decades of production.
- Quartz and mechanical experience
- Vintage movement familiarity
- Ongoing skills development
Clear scope, agreed upfront
Before any work begins, the plan is set out in plain terms and agreed with the owner. If the scope changes, we talk first.
- Written pre-work summary
- No surprises at collection
- Owner approval for any additions
Photographic restoration records
Legacy Piece Restoration includes a full photographic record of each stage. The owner receives these images with the finished watch.
- Before, during and after images
- Supplied digitally on completion
- Keeps the project transparent
Published, stable prices
Our three service prices are listed openly: ฿3,700 for Quartz Service, ฿16,400 for Bracelet & Case Care, and ฿31,500 for Legacy Piece Restoration.
- No hidden additions
- Prices do not change mid-job
- Easy to compare and plan
Personal drop-off and collection
The studio is open for personal visits. You can bring the watch in, discuss it face to face and collect it yourself when the work is done.
- No courier handling required
- Direct conversation on drop-off
- Walk-through at collection
Restraint with older pieces
We do not over-polish or over-restore. With vintage and family watches, we discuss what to preserve before touching anything cosmetic.
- Character preserved where possible
- Owner decides on cosmetic scope
- Patina respected
Expertise
Fourteen years on mechanical movements
The lead watchmaker at Verge Atelier trained through hands-on work on a wide range of movements — from the simplest quartz calibres to multi-part vintage mechanisms. The depth of that experience shapes how every watch in the studio is handled.
Unfamiliar movements are researched before disassembly. If a piece falls outside what can be done well here, the owner is told directly and pointed elsewhere.

The Verge Atelier process
- 1Initial review — watch examined, condition noted
- 2Scope agreed in writing with the owner
- 3Work carried out, photographs taken (restoration)
- 4Final check against agreed scope
- 5Collection with written notes and images
Process
Five steps, nothing skipped
The process at Verge Atelier is straightforward because it has to be — rushed watch work leaves marks that are difficult or impossible to undo. Each step exists for a reason, and none of them are shortened to speed things along.
Owners are kept informed at key stages. If something unexpected appears during the work, the job is paused and the owner is contacted before continuing.
Personal attention
A studio, not a counter
Walk-in visitors receive a proper conversation about their watch, not a form to fill in. We take time to understand what the piece means to the owner and what outcome they are hoping for.
Enquiries by phone or email receive a considered response, usually within one working day. We do not use a ticketing system or automated replies.
Value
Priced to reflect the work
Our prices reflect the time and care each service requires. A Quartz Service at ฿3,700 covers battery, gasket, contacts and timing — done properly, with notes. A Legacy Piece Restoration at ฿31,500 is a multi-stage project that returns a watch to working condition with a full record of every step.
There is no economy option that skips the review or omits the written summary. Those parts of the process are not extras.
How we compare
Two approaches to the same work
This is not about disparaging other providers. It is about being clear on what distinguishes careful studio practice from a high-volume repair service.
Typical repair service
Many watch services work at volume — which suits some jobs fine, but can mean less individual attention and fewer records.
- Scope often set without detailed pre-review
- No written condition summary provided
- Cosmetic work may proceed without discussion
- Photographic records rarely kept
- Additional charges discovered at collection
- Vintage patina not always preserved
Verge Atelier
Each watch is an individual project. Nothing proceeds without the owner's knowledge and nothing leaves without a clear account of what was done.
- Detailed pre-work review and agreed scope
- Written condition notes with every service
- Cosmetic choices discussed before work
- Photographic record for restoration projects
- Prices published, no changes without consent
- Character of older pieces actively respected
What we do differently
Distinctive features of the studio
A written record for every service
Not a generic receipt — a plain account of what was found, what was done, and what to watch for. Useful for the owner and for anyone who services the watch in the future.
Owner present for collection walk-through
When a watch is collected, we go through the notes together. Owners leave knowing what was done and what the watch's current condition is — not just that it is "done".
Honest turnaround times
We give realistic estimates — not the fastest possible answer. If something takes longer than expected, we say so before the deadline passes, not after.
A studio you can visit
Verge Atelier is a physical studio on Thanon Ratchadamnoen. You can visit, look around, and understand where your watch is being worked on — not an address on a website.
